About

Marie Vanderlick is Of Counsel at BWOR. After graduating from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law School in 2009, Marie Vanderlick moved to Shreveport and began practicing law as an oil and gas title lawyer. Marie continues to have a broad-based practice representing major and independent energy companies in title examination. Particularly, she has extensive experience rendering preliminary drill site title opinions, division order title opinions, preparing due diligence reports, and helping clients satisfy curative issues. She advises clients in many phases of oil and gas exploration, including matters related to lease disputes, landowner, mineral owner, and royalty owner demands. Marie also offers experience in general estate planning matters including trusts, wills, and successions. Additionally, she has experience handling a variety of commercial issues for her clients including corporate formations, mergers, and dissolutions. Marie is the mother to three adorable cherub-faced children. She is active in her children’s school and promotes volunteerism in the Shreveport community. She is a former Volunteer of the Year for the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier. Marie is currently serving as Vice President of the Ark-La-Tex Association of Professional Landmen.

Marie Vanderlick has a broad based practice representing major and independent energy companies in title examination. Particularly, she has extensive experience rendering preliminary drill site title opinions, division order title opinions, and preparing due diligence reports, acts of conveyance, assignment, lease and sublease, and overriding royalty interest. Marie also offers experience in general estate planning matters including trusts, wills, probate, powers of attorney, and associated documents. Marie works with financial advisors, CPAs, and insurance agents in order to develop a comprehensive plan to satisfy her clients’ estate planning needs. Additionally, Marie has experience handling a variety of commercial issues for her clients including corporate formations, mergers, and dissolutions.
