Ms. Douthitt’s practice involves oil, gas and other energy transactional matters, including title examination, asset acquisitions and divestitures, and lease and other contract drafting and negotiation. She also represents and advises clients in general business matters, including commercial transactions, corporate structuring, and employment issues, as well as various other legal issues arising in the course of doing business in Louisiana. She is a proud LSU tiger and her education at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana — including a law degree, M.B.A., and an undergraduate degree in accounting with a concentration in internal auditing— lends itself well to her practice. She joined Blanchard Walker in 2008 and was admitted to practice the same year. Ms. Douthitt is a member of the Ark-La-Tex Association of Professional Landmen, the Louisiana Land Title Association and the Louisiana Association of Independent Land Title Agents, as well as the American, Louisiana State, and Shreveport Bar Associations. She is a licensed title insurance producer as is an agent of First American Title Company of Louisiana. She serves on the boards of the Junior League of Shreveport-Bossier, Inc. and the Fuller Center for Housing of Northwest Louisiana, Inc.
