Mr. Riddick, formerly Chief Operating Officer of Tensas Delta Exploration Company, is a Director and serves on the Executive Committee of the firm. His practice is primarily in oil and gas business transactions, and 20 percent of Mr. Riddick’s practice is devoted to litigation.

Mr. Riddick received his B.S. in chemical engineering from Louisiana State University (LSU) in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 1980 and his J.D. from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at LSU in 1984. At the Law Center, he was a member of Order of the Coif and Moot Court Board.

He was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 1984 and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana; United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals; United States Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals; United States Court of Appeals District of Columbia Circuit; and, the United States District Court Middle District of Louisiana.

Mr. Adkins’ practice at Blanchard Walker focuses on energy and commercial litigation. His litigation practice includes a broad array of commercial and business disputes, as well as cases involving oilfield contamination; mineral landowner and lessee disputes; mineral regulatory issues; and, other aspects of oilfield litigation. 

He earned his undergraduate degree at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana (summa cum laude; Phi Kappa Phi) and his law degree at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he was a member of the Louisiana Law Review. 

Mr. Adkins was admitted to practice in 1984 and joined Blanchard Walker in 1988.  He has practiced in numerous state courts throughout the State of Louisiana and in all Louisiana federal district courts, and has appeared before both the Louisiana Supreme Court and the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He is a member of the American, Louisiana and Shreveport Bar Associations and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel, as well as the Louisiana Oil and Gas Association.  Mr. Adkins also serves on the Louisiana State Law Institute Mineral Law-Legacy Disputes Committee.
