We are honored to have been selected as one of the two Louisiana representatives of Meritas Law Firms Worldwide (Meritas), a worldwide organization of independent business law and litigation firms. Meritas currently has nearly 200 member firms with practices in all major U.S. cities, 60 countries and on 6 continents. Through Blanchard Walker’s affiliation with Meritas, our clients have ready access to quality legal representation and consultation virtually anywhere in the world. In addition, Meritas firms help Blanchard Walker provide legal services in technical areas of concentration, even if Blanchard Walker lawyers do not have experience in those areas.

Founded in 1917 as Goldstein & Walker, a partnership of Elias Goldstein and Henry C. Walker, Jr., our firm quickly became a major player in the growing economy of North Louisiana, spurred at that time by the emerging oil and gas industry.  Within a year Goldstein & Walker added as a partner former Louisiana Governor Newton C. Blanchard.  Throughout our history, we have remained closely identified with the oil and gas industry and have been involved in numerous landmark court decisions in the field.  As the needs of our clients have grown and become more diversified, Blanchard Walker has evolved to meet those needs.  Today, Blanchard Walker offers a diverse array of legal services to its corporate and individual clients and is comprised of a motivated and dedicated team of lawyers and staff whose talents and experience benefit clients in many practice areas.  We blend traditional values with innovative practice concepts and, as always, a dedication to the law and to our clients.
