Ms. Scott's practice involves assistance in all practice areas, with an emphasis in real estate title and closing work; title examination; and oil and gas title work. She received her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Louisiana State University and her law degree, magna cum laude, from Loyola University New Orleans School of Law, where she was a William S. Crowe Scholar and a member of the Loyola Law Review. While at Loyola, Melissa externed for the Honorable Carl J. Barbier, U.S. District Judge for the Eastern District of Louisiana and practiced family law with the Loyola Law Clinic. She was admitted to practice law in Louisiana and joined the firm in 2005. Melissa is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and United States District Courts for the Western, Middle and Eastern Districts of Louisiana. She is a member of the American, Louisiana and Shreveport Bar Associations and as an Associate in the Harry V. Booth and Henry A. Politz American Inn of Court.
