Attorney Profiles

Mr. Durrett's practice involves civil and commercial litigation, as well as commercial transactions.  His litigation practice has typically consisted of natural resources, legacy litigation, toxic torts and products liability.  His transaction practice has included admiralty and maritime contracts; upstream and downstream fabrication, transportation and installation contracts; construction contracts; general business formation and maintenance transactions; mineral and surface title transactions; and sales and leases of movables and immovables.

In 1999, he received his undergraduate degree from Louisiana Tech University, with a major in Political Science and minor in English.  In 2002, he received his law degree from Louisiana State University.  He was admitted to practice in 2002 and joined the firm in 2008.  Immediately prior to joining the firm, Mr. Durrett engaged as a solo practitioner serving the interests of Moreno Group, LLC and its affiliated companies.

In addition to the state courts of Louisiana, Mr. Durrett is also admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and United States District Court for the Western, Eastern and Middle Districts of Louisiana.  He is a member of the Shreveport, Louisiana and Federal Bar Associations, as well as the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel. 

Mr. Durrett and his wife, Kathy, are members of The First United Methodist Church of Shreveport. Kathy and he have one son, Davis Gray.  Mr. Durrett originally hails from Arcadia, Louisiana.  He graduated from Cedar Creek School in Ruston, Louisiana, in 1995.
